JOANN L. HUGEE - EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

With a career spanning over three decades, I have dedicated 32 years to working within a community action program, where I've cultivated a deep understanding of the intricate dynamics of community development and the challenges faced by individuals and families. My role as a Community Advocate is driven by a genuine passion for empowering others and fostering sustainable growth within communities. This commitment is further strengthened by my academic pursuits, which include a PhD in Christian Humanities, providing a strong ethical and human-centered framework, and an MS in Individual and Family Development, equipping me with specialized knowledge in supporting personal and familial well-being. Complementing these degrees is a Certificate in Human Development Consulting, enhancing my practical skills in guiding positive change, and a BA in Human Resource Development, which has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of organizational structures and strategies. My overarching goal is to leverage my extensive experience and diverse educational background to effectively support communities by facilitating access to vital resources that promote economic stability, social cohesion, and meaningful personal growth for all residents.
